Roberts Wesleyan College (History Education)
Hello, my name is Kasey.
I have a bachelor's degree in History Education and have substituted for three years. I am already certified to teach social studies 5th grade through 12th. I like to do hands-on lessons. I am not one to believe in just lecturing the student but rather I get them involved with the content they are trying to learn. One of the first things I will try to do is to see what kind of learner the student is. Be it visual, verbal, kinesthetic or the many other types of learning there are. I am energetic and try to make learning fun, I am full aware that many times the reason the student is not picking up on the content is because it does not interest them. I want to make history interesting! Hello, my name is Kasey.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have played basketball, helped coach basketball and gone to many basketball camps. I have been playing since elementary school all the way through my four years in college.
I am trained to teach towards a regents. I know how to have students study for them be it math or social studies though my strong suit is English, Social Studies and Biology. The best way to study for a regents is to know how to dissect the questions. There is very little way that a student will be able to know everything that is on the test. Therefore it is important for a student to be able to look at a question and pull the clues that are there out of the question to assist them in answering it.
I played soccer through out my life from 3rd grade all the way up to my fourth year in college. I have volunteered coaching as well. Also I have played indoor soccer so I am well versed in the different ways of playing soccer.
I played track through out my high school career as well as all four years I was in college. I was a sprinter and a long jumper. I go back to my high school and assist in the track team.
