About Kyle

I have a passion for teaching criminal justice, and a lifelong passion for learning. I make a concerted effort to make sure my students fully grasp all of the nuanced and complex topics in criminal justice in a way that is both relatable, and is not overwhelming. I specialize in helping students craft and organize clear, concise and detailed subject papers on various criminal justice topics.

I am a Graduate of the St. John's University Master's program in Criminal Justice, where I earned a cumulative GPA of 4.0. I am a member of both Alpha Phi Sigma (the national criminal justice honors society) as well as the Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences (ACJS). My original academic work has been selected for presentation at the annual ACJS Conference in March of 2016. I am currently an Adjunct Professor, teaching a course that combines criminal justice in relation to the history of New York City.

I also have extensive criminal justice policy and research experience, having worked at a very well known organization that provides policy makers and politicians extensive and detailed criminal justice policy recommendations and strategies. My work entered on reentry outcomes for recently released persons, more specifically on the role of the halfway house system and its effects on reentry outcomes for the formerly incarcerated.

I am currently writing a book on the epidemic of human trafficking and human slavery in NYC, as well as pursuing my doctorate in criminal justice.
