About Constantine

Law school is certainly a harrowing experience—especially as a 1L. During my law school career at St. John's University School of Law, I gave it my all and, fortunately, did well. I was awarded a position on the St. John's Law Review; I received the Dean's Award for Excellence in Legal Analysis, Writing & Research; and I placed on the Dean's List throughout my 1L year. As a result of these achievements, I was also selected as a Teaching Assistant for Civil Procedure and the First Year Transnational Students Program.

As a Teaching Assistant, helping law students achieve success became one of my most fulfilling achievements. With so much on the line, witnessing my advice help others do well made a huge impact on me. As such, I'd love to continue helping law students—even though I chose a different path from law (i.e., startup life) after receiving my Juris Doctor in June, 2015.

More specifically, let's discuss my two areas of expertise: writing and law. First, there's no doubt that my writing skills helped me succeed in law school. For example, I received the Dean's Award for Excellence in Legal Analysis, Writing & Research for achieving the top grade in my 1L legal writing class. And, after participating in a fiercely competitive writing competition, my writing ability helped secure my position on the St. John's Law Review—after achieving one of the highest scores in the competition.

In addition to my writing skills, my GPA following my 1L year earned me a spot on the St. John's Law Review and the Dean's List for both semesters. I was also a Teaching Assistant for Civil Procedure and the Transnational Law Students Program (where I taught law exam taking skills and multiple bar exam subjects—such as Contracts, Criminal law, Civil Procedure, and Property—to foreign lawyers preparing for the New York Bar Exam).

That said, I would love to help. Please contact me for further details.

Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Law

I am a graduate of St. John's University School of Law. My law school career includes several notable achievements. First, I was a member of the Law Review. My selection was based on two criteria: GPA and writing competition score. Second, I received the Dean's Award for Excellence (top grade) in Legal Writing, Analysis & Research. Third, I made the Dean's List on multiple occasions. Fourth and finally, I was selected as a TA for 1L Civil Procedure and the St. John's Trans-national students program.

Writing

While at St. John's University School of Law, I received the Deans Award for Excellence (Top Grade) for Legal Writing, Analysis & Research. I also earned a position on the St. John's Law Review after receiving a top score in the year-end writing competition. As a member of the Law Review, I edited dozens of legal articles authored by law professors from schools throughout the country. Finally, my law school credentials earned me a position clerking for a United States Magistrate Judge. As a clerk, I drafted and edited several opinions.
