My name is Tara. I have been teaching Spanish and English for the past twenty two years in both public and private school. I am at my best and most happy when teaching the subjects I love, Spanish and English. I have also been tutoring Spanish high school students in Regents courses for approximately eight years. I am very energetic, patient, and kind. I believe in using many types of strategies and materials to make my students successful. I have collected many materials from conferences I have attended. It is my true belief that every student can and will be successful, given the right tools. My goal is to help you, the student, perform at your very best!

Tara is a very good tutor. She is very patient and knowledgeable as a Spanish tutor. My son is in Spanish 3 and definitely improved with Tara's guidance. She was very organized and prepared at every session. I would definitely recommend Tara S. as a Spanish tutor.
Tara is a very professional teacher who covers all aspects of teaching. She is teaching my 14 year old son who is very comfortable with her and progressing well in his learning abilities. She judges the kid and works at the student's pace and learning abilities. I am very happy with her teaching skills.
Tara is one of those rare teachers who is concerned with her students subject comprehension rather than just teaching what she knows. On our first meeting she showed me easy ways to learn the points that I have been having difficulty with. I look forward to continuing with her as my tutor.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
