“**An upbeat tutor who explains well and makes learning fun**”

Hello!! I am a current math teacher at Veritas Academy where I teach Algebra 1, Algebra 2 and Statistics. I love teaching and never feel like I am working when I am at school. I also get much enjoyment out of tutoring students outside of school. I love to see my student's confidence rise as their test scores improve.

Ryan's style of teaching worked well with my daughter who has a math disability. He thoroughly explained concepts before working through practice problems and having her repeat the steps back as she carried them out.

Approved subjects are in **bold**.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

I am a Algebra 1 and Algebra 2 math teacher at a Queens public high school. I completed the NYC Teaching Fellows program which is a rigorous teaching instructional program. I currently teach 3 Algebra 2 sections at a public high school in Queens, including 1 section which contains students with IEPs. In addition, I teach Algebra 1 and Statistics. I received a perfect score on both the Algebra 1 and 2 diagnostic tests in order to become a tutor through Wyzant.

I am currently a certified high school math teacher, however, I studied Financial Economics at Binghamton University where I graduated with honors in 2014. I tutored economics courses throughout college, and graduated within the top 10 percent of my class.

I am a current high school math teacher teaching algebra and statistics at various levels grades 9-12. I know the skills that are required to succeed in math at the high school level, and I can begin to build these skills in my students during the elementary math tutoring sessions.

I am a current high school math teacher certified to teach all levels of math from 7th - 12th grade. I currently teach algebra 1, algebra 2 and statistics. Although I do not currently teach geometry, I am certified and more than qualified to teach and tutor the subject.

I worked for 2 years as a data analyst for Canon USA. I used Excel every day and am proficient in V & H lookups, pivot tables, and all chart and graph options. I am also skilled in using many of the formula functions including the IF, AND, and OR functions.
