Social Studies

As an historical archaeologist, my specialty is the history of the past five hundred years, focusing on the changes that colonialism, capitalism, and technological society have wrought on the world we live in. I am currently finishing my PhD which focuses on the lives of the Chinese-Americans who built the first transcontinental railroad in the United States during the mid-19th century. Beyond this specialization, I am proficient in teaching a wide range of subject matter covered under 'Social Studies', including US and Comparative Government, Geography, History, Philosophy, Anthropology, and Cultural Studies (particularly East Asia).
