I am an experienced successful math teacher in different levels and areas of mathematics.
For 30 years I have been teaching every level of mathematics from Algebra 1 to Calculus (I am currently teaching College Algebra, CCSS Regents prep in Algebra 1 and Geometry, Algebra 2& Trigonometry and College credit courses such as Calculus, and Pre-calculus for HS students.
My education and experience in teaching at various levels of audience in Mathematics since 1984 make me flexible as a teacher for a diverse population in regards to their cultural background and levels of intelligence.Understanding the gaps and deficiency that come along with the students’ mathematical development and growth gives me a clear path of how to work with each student to capture from one level to another smoothly with an appropriate challenge involved.
For the last five years I have been working in Higher Education level at ASA College and at Citytech (CUNY) as Adjunct Math Professor. My results in teaching at both colleges are remarkable, and I have experienced an incredible challenge and growth as professional. In both colleges I have always received an excellent quality review. The professional development has taken a very valuable place and time throughout my career. I have been attending workshops, Annual Research Conferences, Math Conferences at NYCCT and CUNY, and open labs at both colleges. I have also attended and I am certified approximately 100 times for online webinars provided from DOE related to CCSS, using technology in the classroom, different types of assessments, college and career readiness, blended learning, flipped classroom, open educational resources, active learning strategies, leadership etc.I always try to maintain effectiveness and growth.
My major success with my students has been giving them blended knowledge and skills in mathematics and technology. They know how to research, and use the tools to create text rich documents by inserting equations, tables, charts, diagrams, and pictures in their documents or power point presentations. By using live online graphing calculators, and working on Google drive sharing power points I have modeled to them how to work, and they have created and shared their own work. I have also worked with my classes in websites used for discussions, assignments and assessments such us: " ARIS"; "WebAssign", ALEKS": "Delta"; "Engrade" "Wolfram Matematica" ; "OpenLab" at CityTech etc I have used flipped classroom and blended learning strategies to increase the efficacy of the classroom time by assigning reading materials at home and then using questioning techniques and discovery method to go deep in the concepts and solve the problems. I am an experienced successful math teacher in different levels and areas of mathematics.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
