LONG ISLAND UNIVERSITY-BROOKLYN, NY (PharmD)
My name is Shihab H. I am currently a freshman enrolled in a 6-year advanced PharmD program. I attended The Bronx High School of Science and graduated in 2014 with an advanced regents diploma. In addition to which, I am an honors student at Long Island University. In my past works, I have developed experience in teaching children. In October of 2012, I began teaching at Kumon Math and Reading Learning Center. I held this position for two years before my departure. In the fall of 2014, I worked as a tutor and teacher at Sunrise Learning Academy located in Elmhurst, New York. Through these experiences, I have developed the true patience and dedication required to teach.
To me, teaching is an art, and requires developing. In high school, I worked hard and developed a love of knowledge. In the society present today, many children cringe at the idea of learning. More and more students despise going to school today than ever. I believe this is due to the lack of sincerity of teachers. I believe in making learning fun and beneficial to the student. Not only do I simply teach the material required, I also teach to love learning. When a student loves to learn, the possibilities are endless. My experience with teaching combined with the advanced education I have received and will continue to receive, there is no doubt I am a prime candidate for your child. Thank you for reading. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
