I’m a nursing student who was having difficulties with Pharmacology. Courtney helped me not only with understanding the material but to develop better study skills. I’m grateful for this because nursing school is not easy and I was drowning in the workload. Thanks to her, I not only saw an improvement in my grades in pharmacology but an improvement in grades with all my other classes. She made me feel like I could carry my workload. In addition, she made herself available via phone anytime I needed her and was always encouraging.
Courtney is a wonderful tutor! She's very helpful, supportive and patient. Willing to share useful tips and tricks. Courtney also showed me how to effectively study and provided me with great strategies. I will definitely continue lessons with her in the future:)
After reading great reviews I picked Courtney from WyzAnt. It was a great decision! Courtney is knowledgeable, patient, down to earth, flexible and easy going. She is energetic and it's obvious that she clearly loves what she does. Courtney identifies your weaknesses and establishes a teaching / learning plan to strengthen them. I highly recommend her!
She is very patient and understanding. I had to reschedule my session a couple of times and she was very accommodating! She goes an extra step to make sure you understand a lesson and she doesn't mind you texting her if you have any questions! Very happy that I found her here! I'm extremely positive that she can help me reach my goal! Thanks Courtney!
I started tutoring with Courtney in my senior year of Nursing school. I never realized how much time I took studying until Courtney showed me the right way. She explains things in a way you understand and use real life situations so you can get it. Every question I have asked she answered entirely and if she did not know the answer she looked it up and explained it. She is a wonderful tutor and is easily available when you need her. I passed nursing school and am very eager to start studying for the NCLEX with her!
I had less than 4 weeks to take the NCLEX and was taking a full summer load of classes when I started taking NCLEX tutoring lessons with Courtney. She was very flexible and did her best to work with my tight schedule. This was especially helpful as I had not given her much time to help me.
She is very sweet, energetic, funny, and sassy! And this made learning fun and comfortable. She is very knowledgeable and has a knack for strengthening your weaknesses. For me, she helped me organize how much I needed to know and study each day and how to conquer prioritization and delegation questions. Even though I had only met with her twice before my test, I passed! Yay! I highly recommend!!
Courtney tutored by daughter in nursing, specifically for her med/surg class. She was great, knowledgeable and really went out of her way to teach Kara how to study and take the nursing tests.
Courtney helped me learn study techniques that saw me through a very tough semester! Working with her, I reviewed an integrated mix of A&P, pathophysiology, and pharmacology to succeed with NCLEX-style critical thinking questions on our quizzes. I would not have made it through the course without her assistance and determination. I made a real breakthrough in my studies with her, and that help from her has had the added benefit of easing me through other courses, too. You can't go wrong with Courtney!
My daughter has been having some difficulty with a college course in psychology and we were both impressed with Courtney's background and experience. My daughter enjoys working with Courtney and has found her to be of great help.
Courtney is very professional, and a highly educated young lady. She communicates very well. She tutored my daughter for her state board exam (NCLEX-RN). Happy to say, that my daughter passed her exam! Courtney did not sugar coat anything with her. She was all about the BOOKS! She was a great help to my daughter. Courtney communicated with me a number of times about my daughter's progress. She strengthened my daughter's weaknesses and made her think logically. I was very pleased!
I highly recommend Courtney to anyone!
Courtney was an excellent tutor for the NCLEX-RN examination. I would recommend her to anyone having trouble studying for this exam. Her method for tutoring not only prepares you to take the exam but makes sure you thoroughly understand the content. She is always willing to lend a helping hand. I had taken the NCLEX once before where my school had provided us with a Kaplan course. This did not work for me and set me up with bad habits. Courtney was able to identify what the problems were and fix them. She did not sugarcoat the issues or problems that I had which was a big help. During the middle of tutoring with Courtney I found out I had to take my test much earlier than anticipated. She was able to revamp the plan we had made and still have it work for my tutoring needs. I was able to successfully pass my NCLEX the second time around. I was confident that I was well prepared to take the test and had no trouble using the test taking skill that were taught to me.
Courtney has been an excellent tutor to help me be successful on my NClex exam. She is very enthusiastic, professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. She provided me with tons of useful study tips in preparation for the exam and helpful strategies to manage stress for on the day of the exam. She is also very prompt in returning messages and very accommodating for scheduling sessions. Being a Canadian nurse, I found studying for this exam extremely difficult and was unsuccessful passing on my first attempt. Then I fortunately found Courtney for my second try and she knew all the best resources and textbooks to refer me to. I feel she genuinely cares about her students and I would highly recommend her to any nurse wishing to pass this exam!
I was having trouble with A and P II. I had a very difficult teacher, and the material was just not clear to me. I am trying to get into nursing school - which is extremely competitive - and needed to get an A. I was nervous, anxious, and overwhelmed. Then, I found Courtney. She is extremely knowledgeable about all the systems of the body. She taught the material to me in a way in a way that made sense. She is excellent at breaking down complex concepts and coming up with creative ways to remember things. She really knows her stuff. I wound up getting an A in the class, due to her help.
What you want when you interact with a tutor is a revelation. You want to be different on the other side of door that you walked in. That is so true when you have worked with Courtney. We all come to a tutor in some manner of desperation and panic. A sort of last resort in your journey.
When she begins to work with you, you quickly see the material with fresh eyes. Her energy and boundless enthusiasm in effect 'wash you clean' of any prior struggles. She makes you plight her own. Your success, her success. With that as a guiding principal you simply cannot lose. It's the closest thing you can get to a guarantee in this world.
I found her supremely knowledgeable, confident, upbeat with an infectious attitude that defeat is simply not an option.
I came to her with little hope that I could overcome my struggles. I had tried so many times, so many methods. I found working with her nothing short of a miracle.
Courtney perfectly marries content mastery with a very human approach that just closes the door forever on the mis steps you had been making.
In short I thought she was a revelation.
Courtney is an absolutely amazing tutor. I needed help passing Med-Surg II for nursing and was about to give up when I found Courtney and she completely restored my confidence. Not only was she knowledgeable in the subjects I needed help in, she was phenomenal at taking a concept, pulling it apart, and helping me understand exactly how the disease process we were reviewing affected all areas of the body. I was able to dissect questions on exams to find out what was really being asked and I was not only able to choose the correct answer, but understand why I chose it. Courtney is patient and will never make you feel defeated if you don't understand something (the way some professors can). I would HIGHLY recommend her to anybody looking for help!
She is great!!! She makes sure you understand everything, and if you go home and still don't get it she is available via skype, via email or via phone for any further questions you may have.
She is one of the best tutors I've ever met. She doesn't make you seem silly and she is very helpful. She knows her stuff. She made learning fun. She made you want to engage in the material being study. She is absolutely fabulous. I would definetly recommend her for anyone that is struggling with words or anything else. She even knew her history and how some of the words relate to history. I'm telling you if you are looking for a great tutor look no further because she is the one whom you have to meet. She is also a sweetheart.
Courtney is a great tutor. She is very helpful and efficient. After the lessons, the student would understand the topics more clearly. AP Bio has a lot of complicated concepts, but she was able to explain them simply and precisely. We appreciate her great help and hard work!
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
