Hello, my name is Brad. I currently work as a professional auditor for New York State. My career started with auditing local governments and school districts to determine their business risks and financial position. Later, I worked on auditing companies to ensure they were complying with laws and regulations as it related to reporting unclaimed funds to the NYS Office of the State Comptroller. Currently I work on auditing governments and nonprofits who receive grant funding from New York to determine if they have used the funds appropriately. However, before I was an accomplished professional, I got my start in the working world by tutoring my fellow classmates when I was in college.

I had tutored over a dozen students on various subjects from accounting and business to history and philosophy. My favorite topics were entry level accounting and history, where I would take the mundane and boring, and show how they had an impact in their everyday lives. Examples include how to balance a checkbook, and why the Crusades had an impact in today’s geopolitics. Tutoring is about helping you improve both your academic and personal career aspirations. It is an investment in yourself, and shows that you are making a valiant effort to improve your knowledge and understanding compared to your peers.

If you are interested in working together to help you improve yourself to your fullest potential, please contact me ASAP, and let's begin focusing on adding value to your learning objectives! I am willing to engage in a 30-minute pre-tutoring meeting to gain a better understanding of where you are in your studies and personal goals.

What is a debt or credit? Do you know what an asset is or a liability? And what the heck is a journal entry? If any of these rudimentary topics confuse you, don't worry you are not alone. Accounting is called the language of business, and for good reason, with
