I am a mastered special ed/literacy teacher who currently works with students in K, 1, and 2. I attended the College of Saint Rose for both my degrees. I have been teaching for 16 years.
I have three children of my own, ages 7, 9, and 13. I love being a mom and a teacher! It's amazing to watch how much growth children can make when nurtured to learn in a fun way!

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have taught primary management intervention and intense management needs classes (k-2) for 15 years. I have a son diagnosed with ADHD. I have experience with sensory integration therapy to assist children with focus and attend to task. Children with ADHD are referred to my special education program from various school districts in the Capital Region.
