I offer private and group tutoring for people of all ages who are interested in pursuing training in the Graphic Design and Web Design industry.
I cover all aspects of the Web and Graphic Design process, including planning; research, design fundamentals, concept development, basic and advanced Adobe software training, and executing ideas onto the computer.
In addition to software and creative lessons, I also provide several inspirational venues for creative ideas, technical sites for tutorials and knowledge, and video lessons for the student to perform on his/her own time. I will assist students with professional resumes and portfolios, as well as guide them through successful social networking outlets.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I utilize InDesign for my resume and cover letter design and editing, book preparations, brochure layouts, and any printed material including heavy text. I taught InDesign for one year, including menu functions, exporting files (mostly pdf), importing images, setting up multiple pages with a master page and familiarizing students with the tools and interface.
I was a Fine Arts Major prior to obtaining my B.F.A in Graphic Design. While completing my B.F.A. I took several drawing courses, including, beginner, intermediate, and advanced. I am experienced with pen and ink, pastels, charcoal, pencil and acrylic painting. I have expert level experience drawing people, landscapes, life drawing, abstract and illustrations.
I taught Dreamweaver for two years, including the fundamentals of the interface, tools, creating sites, and uploading files to a server. I also create web sites for clients, integrating widgets, CSS and jQuery. I have been professionally using Dreamweaver for 8 years.
I took numerous photography classes during college and have pursued an active photography career since. I currently teach photography at a workshop where I teach the fundamentals of photography including basic camera use and photography styles including trick, action, studio, portrait, action and macro. I am proficient with both an SLR and point and shoot digital camera. I am an expert with the fundamentals of photography, including Aperture, Shutter Speed, ISO, lighting and composition.
