I am currently pursuing my MFA in writing with hopes of starting a writing career and teaching career of my own. The Lord of the Rings is my favorite series! I hope to teach both writing composition and Asian literature courses once I'm done with years and years of schooling. When I'm not reading, writing, or working, you can find me outdoors, at the gym, or playing video games. In the mean time, I work as a writing tutor at Truckee Meadows Community College where I am able to guide others to being better writers. I enjoy tutoring so much it hardly feels like a job!
I specialize in helping students write successful essays with the goal of helping them grow as writers in the process. Whether a student needs help with a research essay, creative story, or literature essay, I am available to provide sufficient help.
I have received nothing but positive feedback from every student I have tutored and have been told I am successful at getting information across in a clear, concise manner. I take great pride in my work and truly care about every student I assist. Being a student myself, I understand the stress of a heavy workload and difficult assignment. I approach every student with extreme patience and understanding.
I hope to hear from you soon and look forward to walking alongside you as you grow as a student and learner! In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
My qualifications to tutor English include over a year of experience tutoring writing, reading, and grammar to students ranging from kindergarten to college level. As an English graduate student, I understand the expectations professors and teachers have for their students.
