I come from a family of teachers who served Romanian education in the superlative. After I received my B.A. in Foreign Languages, I earned a fine reputation as a competent ESL teacher in a highly-ranked private school in my hometown, where I passionately taught ESL to middle and high school students for ten years.
In 2010, I was awarded an international scholarship by The University of Ottawa, Canada, which led to a M.Ed. in the concentration Society, Culture, and Literacies.
In 2014, I received a TESL certificate from The Canadian College of Educators in Mississauga where I honed my professional skills by teaching Chinese middle and high school students for two years, achieving outstanding results.
I think of teaching as a form of parenting, trying to give my students confidence by listening to them and motivating them. I am accessible, available, approachable, enthusiastic, energetic and excited.
I possess extensive knowledge and remarkable teaching skills fueled by a genuine love for English.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
