I'm Logan! I graduated from Colorado State University in 2020 with a Bachelors of Science in Statistics with a minor in Mathematics. During my last year at Colorado State I tutored students in introductory statistics classes, both algebra and calculus based. During my time as a university student, tutoring is what brought me the most satisfaction. Working through problems with students was incredibly rewarded as they would go from dreading their Statistics class to excelling in these classes and even enjoying going to class. Many students would come to my tutoring hours with no idea how to complete their homework and leave feeling confident and ready to take on the next exam. Slowly watching students become confident in their own abilities brought me great satisfaction.
I have a year of experience tutoring Statistics and R and five months tutoring Algebra during which I developed effective tutoring techniques. I try to have my students work through problems as much as they can on their own, explaining each step to me and providing support when needed. By having the students work through problems instead of simply giving them the answer, my students become confident and avoid becoming frustrated as I help and provide examples if they get stuck.
I am currently available for online tutoring any time on the weekends. Reach out to me if you are struggling in your Statistics or Algebra classes or just need that extra bit of help to truly understand the subject!
