MY RESULTS:

Emmy M. (Physics): I helped boost her grade from a 77% to a 90%!

Roger R. (Algebra 2): I was able to boost R.R.'s grade from a 75% to an 87%, and he got his first 100% on an algebra test ever!

Sydney G. (Physics): She saw a noticeable difference in her performance and I was able to get her grade up to a 98%!

Wade W. (AP Calculus): As a result of the pandemic and subsequent shift to online learning, W.W. was struggling to grasp much in calculus. I helped W.W. go from an 89% to...

Phoebe S. (Physics): Got her grade up to a 96%!

Zoe W. (Physics): She was failing in her college physics class. I was able to get her from an F to a C+!

Adrianna R. (Algebra 2): I am preparing Adrianna to go back to college and teaching her Algebra from scratch!

Sofia C. (College physics): Went from a 63% to a 92% in her lab section!

QUALIFICATIONS:
In high school, I was awarded with being both National AP Scholar and National Merit Scholar. In addition, I have been teaching/tutoring for the past 4 years. I recently graduated from Pomona College with a double major in physics and philosophy.

PASSION:
It'd be cheap of me to just say I love teaching. Sometimes when I daydream I think about being a teaching or giving a presentation to students. Two of my favorite films are "Stand and Deliver" and "The Marva Collins Story", which are about teachers who go to underprivileged areas and inspire the kids to learn. I didn't come from privilege, so when I teach I do it with an intent to give back and help out students like myself, ones who are ambitious but lack the resources to realize their goals.

My teaching started from an early age when I tutored 6th graders in middle school who were struggling in math and continues to this day. I taught SAT seminars at my high school, public speaking classes, and leadership classes. In recent times, I have taught and tutored physics, dancing, Spanish, and mathematics.

Best Tutor I could ask for!

Oscar is so patient and is able to explain things in ways that actually make sense! He genuinely cares and you can tell he has a passion for helping others! So grateful to have the opportunity to work with him! Literally couldn’t ask for a better math tutor!

Adrianna, 43 lessons with Oscar

Amazing tutor definitely recommend!!

Oscar has taught me two sessions of AP Calculus 1 and he is amazing. A lot of people have tried to explain the concepts of physics to me but he has been the only one that I could actually grasp the information. His sessions are very interactive which I find to be super helpful especially when he explains a concept to me then lets me apply what I learned on the next problem. When it comes to physics learning how to do one problem is not enough but he teaches you the foundation of it and how it would apply to different problems. If you are looking for an AP physics tutor I definitely recommend Oscar!!!!!

Did a great job helping our son brush up for his ASVAB

Oscar is the 2nd great tutor we had from Wyzant who helped our son get ready for his ASVAB today. Oscar took his time, was thorough and patient. We appreciate the help you gave him! Thank you!

Amazing tutor

Oscar's style of teaching resonated well with my daughter. His passion for teaching comes through and looking forward to more sessions. Without any prior info on what chapters are required to review in pre calc, he was quick on his feet to help out. Thanks Oscar!
