Ashworth College (Early Childhood Educ)
Hello, my name is Mr. M. and I'd love to be your tutor! I am currently a preschool teacher utilizing my associates of science degree in Early Childhood Education. Children are my passion, and I have been working in education for the past 4 years. I am currently attending Western Governors University for my bachelor's in elementary education. I plan to graduate in 2018 and become a kindergarten teacher!
As far as experience, I have tutored many of my old students that have transitioned to elementary school. I specialize in literacy develop and English Language Learners. With that being said, I also tutor in math all the way to the middle school level as well as other elementary subjects. If I am not familitary with a subject, I am diligent enough to research the topic and provide excellent service.
As a preschool teacher, my duties are to build pre-math skills in my students to ensure a foundation for math learning is established.
I specialize in literacy development and have experience working one-on-one in an intervention circumstance. I can make reading easy and fun.
Without a sound knowledge of phonics, reading can be difficult. I can provide fun, interactive activities to develop reading ability.
The English language involves many variations in spelling mechanics. As literacy specialist, I can provide spelling activities in a less stressful environment.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
