I am an educator, and is very interested in aiding in the development of children's education.
I feel it is very important for a child to develop fundamental skills, like abc's, vowel recognition, the vowel sounds, and sight words, which are all building block skills that will help the child gain the fundamental skills, in order to understand and master reading and writing which are skills they will use throughout their education, and their life.
I have a B.S. Degree in Pre-Law and Business. I also have a substitute license from Clark County Schools System, and had the pleasure of being a long term kindergarten teacher 2014-2015 school year.
I learned so much information on what it took for a child to learn the fundamentals of learning in a timely manner, in order to be prepared for the next grade. This 2016 school year, I am presently tutoring one-on-one kindergarten children who need extra help to learn the fundamentals of reading, sight words, and math.
The best part I love about tutoring is seeing the children come to my tutoring sessions not knowing how to read, and within a short period of time of using the skills I teach them; their eyes are gleaming with excitement because they now understand and have mastered the skills to become an avid reader.
I am an outstanding tutor because I have been teaching for the past two years, and know the importance of a good education. I have the tools and skills to give and develop a child's fundamental skills. Every child learns at a different pace; but giving them the time and attention that is needed, the children I have tutored have mastered the skills that they will use and see for a lifetime.
My philosophy is that it doesn't matter which child mastered the skills first, but that we all master the skills needed.
I encourage students to contact me and schedule lessons, because not only will you gain confidence in reading, and learning the fundamental skills of education, you will have fun learning! I am an educator, and is very interested in aiding in the development of children's education.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
