Ever since I was in school myself, I had a love for teaching others. During the actual school year, I work as an instructional assistant for special education at a charter school. My job requires me to tutor our students in multiple subjects.
I currently hold my bachelors degree in elementary education. I am only missing my student teaching to become a teacher in CCSD. I hope to begin tutoring during the summer for good experience and to help students retain information for the next year. To me, tutoring gives a special one-on-one teaching experience that teachers or students don't normally get to experience.
I will be available for tutoring during the summer. Online tutoring is the best for me, mostly for transportation. If you would like tutoring to be held in person, we can discuss rates and areas to meet.
As a teaching assistant in a middle school program, I am part of many math lessons that teach different approaches to problems, solving strategies, and practice skills to help in homework and testing situations.
During my college education, our main focus was elementary education and techniques to help our students in the classroom. I have no doubt that I can use these skills to assist students with multiple subjects.
I have gone through vocal training (choir) for seven years. During that time, I learned strategies and skills to improve vocal qualities in my own voice that can assist with other voices as well.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
