I am offering tutoring services in a variety of subjects as listed above. I am highly qualified in all of these areas, and, although it may seem unusual, I have worked professionally in both the legal and music fields. I hold degrees from highly-accredited institutions in both fields.
I was a professional musician for many years, and can teach Music Theory, Ear Training, Piano and Trumpet. I am also qualified to assist those working in the legal field with a particular area of interest or need, or those studying to become a paralegal. Additionally, I have always had a fascination and interest in American History, and am qualified to assist students in that area as well.
I am a kind, considerate, patient but serious tutor who takes a real interest in each student's success and mastery of whatever subject matter or skill upon which we are working. I have taught students at all levels (from very young to the elderly) for many years, in many different settings, including preparatory schools of universities and privately as well.
I look forward to working with each of you in whatever area I offer in which you feel the need for growth and clarity. I am offering tutoring services in a variety of subjects as listed above. I will make every effort to provide a non-noticed cancellation session with a makeup session.
I have taught Music Composition and Music Theory on all levels, from beginner to professional, focusing on traditional western music from a historical perspective (including the study of the most basic music theory and functional harmony to advanced orchestration, composition, arranging and analysis) to modern Jazz-Rock harmonies and voicings for the contemporary keyboardist.
At CCM, I studied composition with Dr. Norman Dinerstein, Dr. Robert Zierolf and Dr. William F. Grimes. Again, I was fortunate enough to graduate magna cum laude from that fine and prestigious institution. I have composed original works and also teach arranging. I have a superior knowledge of music theory and harmony.
I graduated magna cum laude with a performance degree from the University of Cincinnati's College-Conservatory of Music. I scored the highest on the music theory entrance exam of any entering freshman. I was therefore placed in the Honors Music Theory and Honors Music History classes (two years of subject matter condensed into one intensive year). Ear-Training and Solfeggio were constant disciplines which were tested with the professor (individually, in front of the entire class) at least weekly.
I have taught beginning and intermediate piano for many years. I have been a pianist since age 5. I have a Grand Piano and Electronic Keyboards available for lessons. I currently have a quite successful piano music studio operating in Las Vegas.
I earned a Bachelor of Music performance degree magna cum laude from the University of Cincinnati's College-Conservatory of Music. I am a kind, considerate, patient but serious teacher who never forgets the unique joy and creativity of music. I have taught students at all levels for many years, in all settings, including preparatory schools of universities and privately as well.
On the trumpet, I have years of experience as a professional musician, and was fortunate and blessed to have performed professionally with many major musical artists, including Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Sammy Davis, Jr., Elton John, Natalie Cole, Johnny Mathis, The Temptations, Clint Holmes, Dionne Warwick, Donna Summer, Gladys Knight and many more.
