“**Positive and patient!**”

I have taught math and financial planning for 12 years at the University of Phoenix at Las Vegas. I love to teach and tutor students in Math. The process of learning the necessary steps of solving problems is the "Key" to learning all math subjects. I believe in showing the students the steps in

From the moment we met Ed we were put at ease. He is a very caring and positive person. My 14-year-old daughter has been struggling with math for some time. Ed has stepped in and in a very positive and uplifting manner is helping her to overcome her struggles. He is teaching my daughter to organize her approach to her math problems, which is giving her more confidence. He is not only very knowledgeable about what he is teaching, but about HOW to teach. We highly recommend Ed!!

Edward's knowledge of math is just amazing. He is very smart and loves math and it shows. He is a patient, understanding and great teacher. My son has struggled in math for years. Edwards seems to be able to use basic tricks and skills to help the kids better understand. Great tutor

Edward was helpful and patient in his approach to his tutoring session. I would, and will use him again to prepare and stay ahead of my next course. His experience is second to none and I would recommend him to anyone with tutoring needs.

He taught my daughter the Algebra 2. My daughter is now getting comfortable and has more confidence in tackling her Math subject. Thank you to Mr. P.

Edward has been a great help to my son studying for Algebra II exams and SATs. He is very knowledgeable and is always there when he says he will be. My son has learned a lot from Ed. In addition to being great with math, he is also very kind.

My lessons are with my son so far so good Ed is a great personality school starting soon, fingers crossed

My son had his first session last night with Edward and I'm very impressed! He is everything his bio says and more. He brought a packet of papers for my son to work on (never had a tutor do that before) and worked WITH him. We have another session scheduled for Saturday. So happy I found Edward!!

7/19/16:

Edward just spent the summer helping my son with his algebra II summer school. He not only showed my son how to do things but he made sure that it stayed in my sons head. I got the final results of their summer school class and my son got a "B" on both semesters. The highest grade my son had ever got in math has been a "C". Edward is the answer to my prayers!! Thank you, thank you, thank you Edward!!! You may not realize it but Edward you just built up my sons confidence sky-high!!!

We are pleased with our choosing of Edward... He has spotted what is problematic for my granddaughter, made suggestions to help her during the week. She is working with him to help her.

My son was very happy with Ed's level of expertise and ability to teach Algebra concepts that he has struggled with in the past. We give Ed 5 Stars.

My son enjoyed sitting with Ed and has already learned new things! He looks forward to learning more and getting better at math.

Ed was on time, waiting for us at the library when we arrived. He was extremely knowledgeable. Ed gives his students a practice exam to see where there are gaps in their learning. This is exactly what my thirteen year old needed. I would recommend Ed to students of all ages. My son was tutored for pre algebra.

Ed is always on time, very patient and very knowledgeable. He has supplied other educational materials for my use to expand my learning. I'm very happy with his service.

Mr. Edward was on time and very helpful! He provided handouts that serve as cheat sheets for various mathematical formulas. Not only is his instruction very helpful, but he is personable and is willing to work at your pace. Most of all, he has a very reasonable rate. Once our session started, I realized that there was so much material to cover in an hour, so our session extended to two hours, but still the cost was cheaper than most tutors on WyzAnt that I've searched. Absolutely worth my time and money!

Set up with new computer and working with files and folders. Explained everything in detail. Very patient, on time. Very nice guy.

My daughter absolutely loves the way that he explains and teaches her. He is very easy to get in touch with and is very accommodating to her schedule even at the last minute. He picked up on her dyslexia without me having to even tell him about her problem. He explained to her and I what she needed to do in order to get passed it with word problems. He is extremely patient and understanding when she doesn't remember or understand what he just explained. Algebra 1 is much easier for her, thanks to him.

Edward flat out knows math, and more importantly, how to explain it. My son is currently seeing Edward for help with his high school Algebra 2 class and is very happy with the help he is getting. Edward makes sure that a concept is truly understood by the student before moving on to the next subject and also knows when to step back and review concepts which should have been learned in an earlier class but may not have been mastered. Edward is fun, helpful, and has that old school combination of manners, punctuality, and caring that seems to be lacking these days. Highly recommended!

Approved subjects are in **bold**.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

I love to teach Algebra. I have taught Algebra at the University of Phoenix for over 11 years and have tutored the subject for many more years.

I use handouts for my students that make solving Algebra problems much easier and will always come to the correct solution.

I love to graph and show the student that there are only 4 formulas to remember to graph any problem.

Algebra 2 is a continuation of Algebra 1 that covers multiple equations and graphing.

I use handouts for my students that help to solve Algebra problems much easier and will always come to the correct solution on how to solve polynomials .

I love to graph and show the student that there are only 4 formulas to remember to graph any problem, even with multiple equations.

Geometry is one of the oldest branches of mathematics. It involves many shapes and angles. How they are related and the formulas to solve them I have on a handout sheet that allows the student to find the correct one very easy.

One thing the Geometry requires are "Proofs." These can be hard to solve, but a few examples makes them easier.

I have used spreadsheet programs since the first one came on the market. I have taught computers for over 11 years at the University of Phoenix including Excel, Word and Power Point. I ran my own computer company for over 25 years and have taught many employees how to use Excel, Word and Power Point. I have used Excel to help companies compute their Financial Reports for each month and for the year.

Prealgebra is the preparation needed for Algebra. I show the student the many necessary steps to find "X" with some handouts that show the exact steps necessary to find it. The student need to follow these steps in the exact sequence, but in the end will always find the solution.

I love Algebra and all my students tell me that my methods make it easier for them to learn and not fear Algebra.
