Hello, I’m Nick. Thank you for your time reading my bio. I love learning and teaching. If you want to make all of your classes go easier, I am here to show you how. I have developed a way to teach you how to learn with more ease. So you spend less time worrying and fighting the assignments and more time enjoying what you’re learning and more free time to do other important things. I have been tutoring since elementary school helping my classmates. I had to observe carefully what works with students as applied within the various subjects, I have successfully taught thousands of students, both in USA and overseas. I am committed to giving my students the best tutoring. I believe there is more than one way to explain math concepts so that if a student doesn't grasp the way it is presented in class, I can find an alternate way of explaining it. Math can be fun!
I have studied Computer Science overseas and Applied Math at California State University Northridge (CSUN). In 2013, I was one of the top 100 tutors at Wyzant nationwide.
I am available to teach Math, Statistics and physics. If we don’t make a good match, there will be no charge for the first session. Let’s meet!

SAT Math

SAT Math

The number of different math concepts that are tested in the SAT Math section is limited, yet there are almost unlimited ways that the test can ask students questions about those concepts. The important concepts in SAT are arithmetic, algebra, and geometry that comprise the test questions. Another important fact is how to translate a word question to a mathematical equation. I help students to refresh their memory on these concepts. Questions on SAT II Subject Test in Math, Level 1 or Level 2 are similar in style to the regular SAT Math questions, but they also include more advanced topics in math.

Patient and Knowledgeable

Nick was very patient and went over everything. He allowed me to ask questions during the lesson. He was very knowledgeable and helped me with my algebra assignment. He also taught me different ways to solve algebra problems.

Cristibel, 2 lessons with Nick

Great instructor

Nick S went over some homework problems of mine and he broke every down to my understanding and I was able to gain new knowledge

great teacher

Hoping to pass my statistic class with Nick’s help. My lesson with him was clear and precise. Will definitely recommend him as a tutor.

Excellent online tutoring

Responds quickly to requests. Have encountered snooty tutor before so appreciate his always courteous and helpful demeanour. Knowledgable. Helped things make sense of precalc and is effective online. Online saves time over in person sessions was an original plus but even more a plus today. Thanks Nick!

I failed stats 2x. Passed with an A with Nick!

When I tell you that I failed, I don’t mean 60% I mean 13% and 23%. In six weeks for an hour, Nick taught me the whole subject, and my professor didn’t teach us. He is accommodating, understanding, knowledgeable and will work with you during technical difficulties. He is amazing. Thank you, Nick.

knowledgeable algebra 2 tutor

Nick was great. He was on time and covered a lot of material in one hour. He was very familiar with material and was able to explain in a way my 15 yr old daughter could understand . Would definitely use again

Nick helped me a lot

Nick was professional and his tutoring style was so understandable. I really understand the concepts better. He knew exactly what I was confused about and taught me a better way to approach these math problems.

Ella , 3 lessons with Nick

Patient and knowledgeable.

Nick is working with our twin boys on Algebra. In 4 sessions they have improved greatly in confidence, knowledge of the material and problem solving. The boys like working with him very much. He is very professional.

Great Instruction!

From the first contact with Nick I had a good experience. He contacted me when he said he would. He reviewed my question when he said he would. I appreciate this. Another tutor didn't and that is why I chose Nick. Nick instructed me in graphing a linear equation. He was very precise and efficient. He answered all my questions. He was on time for the session. He also walked me through everything, as this is my first Wyzant session. Over all I am extremely pleased. He made sure I understood the material. I would definitely suggest him to others and will use again.
