My son is 11 years old and loves working with Mrs. V! He looks forward to his session every week.
She taught me proper way to describe image like bar graph, pie graph and line graph and she also teach me the proper pronunciation of some words. She help me to boost my confidence especially in this kind of time pressure exam.Overall she did great.
It was important for daughter to like her tutor and she did. She was very patient with her and helped tremendously
We met Veronica yesterday and she was great. In one hour she was able to teach the kids the alphabet along with some phrases. She was very knowledgeable and very patient with my children. The kids are looking forward to seeing her next week and learning more Spanish.
Ms. V has been an excellent summer tutor for our daughter, helping to ensure her readiness for Spanish II Honors this fall. The worksheets she provides are excellent, and they help our daughter stay busy between lessons! We are going to continue to engage her during the school year for assistance before tests, and extra help when necessary.
Veronica V. is tremendous!!! Charming, witty, humorous and doesn't let you get away with anything much!!! She comes well prepared and is very patient about answering questions you might have.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
My qualifications for learning disabilities are -- I hold a Master's degree in both LD and BD. My certification is for K - 12. While in Chicago, I developed a program to help students become successful at grade level and beyond. Most recently I worked with first graders to have them reach grade level and become successful students in the second grade. A few of them were also bi-lingual. I would hope that by now my work ethic and certification is approved and that I can and do qualify for elementary, reading, phonics and grammar for all students including the bi-lingual and slow learners. Not just those who need help with Spanish and/or French.
I am certified K - 12 L.D./B.D. as well. This means that I am able to tutor and instruct in many Elem (K- 6 - 12) subjects --vocabulary, reading, as well as grammar. These subjects are really all encompassing. Success in one area often builds into success in other subject areas. Along with this certification, my knowledge of how a foreign student thinks and uses English, and my teaching of foreign languages, I am more than qualified to teach a young Elem. student, possibly Bi-Lingual. I have been successful at both the Elem and H.S. levels. My success is demonstrated in seeing the students reach grade level when they started out semesters behind.
As a teacher of several foreign languages, I am well prepared to explain "languages" and their structures as they apply to English to facilitate learning. Going back and forth from one language to another and keeping the pronunciation and grammar logical makes learning easier for my students.
I hold a Master's Degree in Learning Disabilities as well as having one in Behavior Disorders. My certification is k - 12. I have years of experience working with Elementary students as they begin to tackle the skills necessary for reading and phonics. I also have the ability to tutor Bi-lingual children with success. I know the program requirements for the state of Nevada which are needed to see that the student can reach grade level by the end of the semester.
I have taught all levels from Intro to College Levels. I have even taught A.P. Classes. I love grammar but I also do Spanish History and Geography. And I have a strong background in the authors of Lit on the A.P. Exam
With my Master's degrees in L.D and B.D and languages, well as other subjects, time management is an integral part of the learning process and I incorporate it into each lesson. How to study is just as important. Each subject requires a special how to. Learning on line offers a new set of challenges for most students. It requires monitoring as well as specific hands on ideas to be successful before the student can be truly independent. Time and structure leads to success.
