Bio

I have been a successful teacher, tutor, mentor, coach (and parent) for students from elementary school through graduate school. As a middle school special education teacher, I have taught all core subjects, and I was the lead math teacher for our school's special education program. I have been a successful teacher, tutor, mentor, coach (and parent) for students from elementary school through graduate school. As a middle school special education teacher, I have taught all core subjects, and I was the lead math teacher for our school's special education program. I have been a contracted teacher in both public and private schools, and I have several years experience as an individual tutor. I am experienced in teaching math, language arts, and science from K-10th grade, and social studies from K-12th grade. My teaching jobs include an independent school in Lake Tahoe (current position), an ESL school in Cambodia, elementary schools in MT, a middle school in VA, and a high school in CA. Additionally, I have coached basketball, as well as my daughter's soccer team and my son's baseball teams.

My tutoring methods are designed to meet the needs of each student's individual learning style, while providing structure and consistency. I have a successful history of working with young people with distinctive talents and needs. I take heartfelt satisfaction in helping students reach their potential.
