I have been ranked as 2nd in Florida for my age and leading my team to winning 2nd and 3rd place back to back Nationals. I also placed (individually) tied for 10th in the country at K-9 National Championships scoring against several masters. I currently rank among the top 99% on both Lichess (2100+) and Chess.com rapid ratings. The Perfect Tutor for our family
Brandon is amazing, he has become a family friend and mentor in less than a week. My 8yr old son has been trying to learn chess for a while. I found this website and we chose Brandon as our tutor. Brandon is patient, kind, intuitive, and has an easily approachable demeanor that puts his students at ease. My son went from not knowing anything about chess to learning the fundamental pieces and moves in less than 3 days. Lol, we went from him taking 30 mins lessons to a 1hr daily lessons and I have never seen him more excited or engaged. Our oldest son is on the spectrum and with his constant daily at-home therapy, we are limited in our social interactions. My 2nd son is mature but awkward in terms of social interactions. With Brandon and his calm engaging boyish yet mature demeanor, Raethan sees him as the older brother. They usually play a match and then he takes the time to review the game and dissect each move and the possible flaws, he also gives Raethan homework on Lichess and he also reviews his previous games and takes the time to go over them with him as well. I am eternally grateful to the friendship and tutorship and hope these words do justice in conveying the gratitude my family feels toward Brandon. P.S needless to say I started taking lessons as well and my 3 1/2 yr old will shortly be joining. This was a wish of mine. Great Tutor
Brandon has been a great tutor for my 12 year old. He has improved immensely going from a kid that did not care for chess much to one that loves playing it. I never thought I would see my son playing chess and enjoying it as much as he currently does. I am amazed.
