Approved subjects are in **bold**.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

I have a Bachelor's Degree and a Master's Degree in mathematics. I was a mathematics teacher at Valley High School and a part-time mathematics teacher at UNLV. I am a long-time online contributor to Yahoo Answers (as Pauley Morph) and to Mathematics Stack Exchange.

I have contributed programs to MathWorks, a MatLab website. I was a certified LabVIEW programmer.

I have loved mathematics since I was about 16 years old. It is my profession as well as my hobby. I derive great pleasure in helping students learn mathematics.

I worked for a company that contracted out to the DOE to work at the test site. My job was data reduction and analysis. I took raw data from experiments and transformed it into useful information. I used calculus, algebra, geometry, and trigonometry every day for 35 years. I then moved to Boulder City where I worked at Barth Electronics. They make machines that characterize how electronic devices fail due to electrostatic shock. I wrote the programs that drove those machines. I am now semi-retired. I am a substitute teacher with the Clark County School District and I am a tutor.

I started out as a high school math teacher but then I became a scientific programmer. My job was to convert raw data from experiments into useful information for scientists. I actually used calculus, algebra, geometry, and trigonometry just about every day.
