Hello! I would like to introduce myself.
I am a retired, licensed elementary/middle school teacher who taught for 28 years in New Mexico. I taught in one middle and multiple elementary schools. I love teaching and taught grades kindergarten through eighth. For the first 14 1/2 years, I taught regular education, then switched to gifted education for the remainder of my teaching career.
I am a Teacher Liaison for the Space Foundation, a volunteer for the Solar System Ambassador Program and the Space Station Ambassador Program. I also am an Aerospace Connections in Education teacher. I am a STEM Instuctor at the local public library and also volunteer in local schools teaching about space and aerospace topics.
Since I retired over five years ago, I have tutored students online and in person in preschool to college in reading, math, and science. Teaching is my passion and working with children is always a joy. I enjoy tutoring since I love seeing students grasp concepts and become more confident in their studies. I like working with all levels.
I have a Master of Fine Arts in Elementary Education and a Teaching Minor in Spanish. I earned my TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) endorsement. I am endorsed in Gifted Education, as well. I have also had extensive training in space science through classes, seminars, conferences, and webinars.
Please contact me so I can provide quality tutoring services for you or your child. Thank you!
