Knowledgeable and patient tutor
I requested the lesson for my daughter to help with catching up and studying for AP Comp. Sci principles (Python). Wyzant recommended Avi and I am so relieved my daughter finally has the support she needs. Prior to the lesson Avi explained her teaching style and answered all my questions. Avi was so patient with helping me with my coding assignment. They were super welcoming and made me feel less nervous and comfortable throughout the whole process! They also explained very well certain things that I was confused on. I will be booking future sessions with them very soon!

Avi is the only Java tutor who is patient, and clearly knows how to work with beginning coders with limited experience. She is definitely knowledgeable about coding and knows how to collaborate with students. Avi has a great personality which is rare as most tutors I’ve met on here are selfish, conceited and impatient. Being able to interact with your tutor is so important. On this website its like discovering a new element that can change your whole perspective and approach on coding. She simplifies the problem, and helps me think about my next step in order to solve a problem. She is a great teacher!!!I wish I had started taking lessons with her earlier instead of wasting my time with other tutors who lack social skills, and do all the work for you without teaching you a thing. What’s the point in that? I would have grasped some of the basic fundamental concepts needed by now in order to to code if Avi was my first instructor. If your a beginner coder whose wandering aimlessly in sights like Hacker Rank with no clue and seriously want to learn to code with a professional, then Avi is the best tutor from my experience.

Knowledgeable and experienced tutor
Avi was able to help in mastering algebra 2 problem methods and help build confidence in my daughter for her exam. They used Jamboard and made session interactive and my daughter to think about different strategies before solving problems. I would suggest Avi to any students who are looking for experienced tutor.
