I would like to tell you a little about myself. I am currently attending Capella University pursuing an EdD in Education Leadership and Management. I am a recent Graduate Student from NMSU. I graduated May 10, 2014 with a Master’s of Arts in Education in Curriculum and Instruction with a minor in TESOL. I currently hold a BSED/SPED from Illinois. I have over ten years of teaching in Special Education setting and one year in English as a Second Language. I am proficient in English and moderately in Spanish.
I believe I am well suited for this position because I am self-motivating, I am very social, well spoken and written in the English language but also I am down to earth and can adapt to all diverse settings with diverse groups. I developed curriculum, and supervised several assistance. I have supervised student teachers. I can lead as well as coordinate with others. I am a fast learner and adapt to new settings easily. I have great skills in technology as well as using them in the education setting.
Most recently, I coordinated the Boy’s and Girl’s Basketball with the Albuquerque Charter League. I was the assistant Boy’s Basketball coach. Our Girls took 2nd in the NMAA Charter League Tournament. They took 4th for the League in all of the Charter League in Albuquerque. I was also nominated as the All-Star Coach for 2015 - 2016.
I am qualified certified teacher in ESL, my Master's in Education is in Curriculum and Instruction minor is TESOL. I am currently in a Doctoral program where I write a lot. I have been in the education for over 15 years and have been a life long learner.
I am a funny and down to earth teacher who will meet you where you are and work with you to find successful strategies to help you to be more proficient.
