“**Rachel is fantastic!!!!**”

I graduated from New Mexico State University in the Fall of 2016 with a Bachelor's of Science in Applied Mathematics, a minor in economics, and a minor in dance. I graduated with a 3.5 GPA and received recognition through the college as a Crimson Scholar for high academic achievement.

I have loved teaching and tutoring since high

We just started with Rachel with 2 daughters that are in accelerated math for their ages. SHE IS THE BEST!!!!!! She explains the work so clearly and is a natural teacher. Anyone would be lucky to find someone like her online!!!!

It is such a pleasure to work with such amazing students like your daughters!

Rachel has been doing an amazing job coaching my daughter Geometry. My daughter likes her so far. I hope to keep her as a tutor for a long time.

Rachel Explains the questions and how to solve them at my speed, which is allowing me to get caught up on the homework and hopefully start bring up my grade.

I'm killing the fraction game and the percentage game. I feel 100% more confident in my math skills just after the first lesson. I never thought I would get it.

Math:

Algebra 1,
Approved subjects are in **bold**.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

My classes in high school of prealgebra and algebra were the classes that made me fall in love with mathematics! They are still some of my favorite classes to teach and my favorite mathematics to practice and employ myself. As a student at New Mexico State University, I received an A in my College Algebra class in the fall of 2012.

Algebra is one of my favorite subjects in math! Having a solid grasp of Algebra 1 and 2 are crucial for being successful in higher level math classes, which is one of the reasons why I love teaching this subject so much! I received an A in my college algebra class at NMSU and have tutored many students, ranging from middle schoolers to adults returning to college in algebra.

I have completed Calculus I, II, and III and have gone on to complete several classes that involve applying calculus, including differential equations and vector calculus. I also have experience with business calculus coursework and various economics calculus classes.

After completing calculus III I went on to complete courses in Ordinary Differential Equations, Vector Calculus, Calculus of Variations and Optimal Control, and Fourier Series. All of these courses require in-depth knowledge of differential equations and the ability to apply the concepts in various contexts.

Geometry can seem tricky for some students because it involves a more concrete and hands-on approach to algebra. However, this is why I love teaching geometry! The nature of this subject allows students to make more personal connections to the material. There are many different styles of teaching, learning, and applying the concepts of geometry and that's what makes it so fun and interesting to tutor!

Prealgebra is an important starting point for all your future math classes! My Prealgebra and Algebra classes are what made me fall in love with math and remain my favorite subjects to teach! I have experience working with advanced placement middle schoolers with their prealgebra and algebra classes and I also received an A in my College Algebra class at NMSU in the fall of 2012.

I am currently a student at New Mexico State University studying mathematics so I am still constantly immersed in studying and using mathematics. I completed my college level Trigonometry and Precalculus course (MATH 190) with an A+ in the spring of 2014, and continued on with caluculus, completing Calculus and Analytic Geometry III with a B.

Trigonometry can seem frustrating for students when they see it for the first time! However, its not nearly as daunting as it may first seem. It's all about rules and laws, and once you understand how the basics work, you'll find that the more complex trigonometry is a piece of cake! I completed and passed my Trigonometry and Calculus I class with an A+ at New Mexico State University in the Spring of 2014.
