About Kate

I am a licensed teacher and have been teaching 6th grade in New Mexico for 9 years. I've taught all subjects to include Adult Learning, Project Based Learning, and Service Learning Projects. I've been invited to present at NMSU for both SC2 and MC2 conferences and many other professional learning events.

I am a firm believer that learning can and should be enjoyable and fun. Sometimes it will take awhile to get there, but it will get there if you are willing to make it happen.

While I have mainly been an elementary teacher I am comfortable at upper levels in many subjects. I will tell you honestly if I feel I am not the proper tutor for you or for the subject at hand. I am more than happy to work with adults, but I expect a good work ethic and the attention of the student.

Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
