I am also a Dyslexia therapist. I have helped many students that could not learn in class at school. I own a large library of creative, effective materials. I have a post master degree & certifications. I work out of my home giving students of all ages classes, tutoring and Dyslexia therapy with an Orton-Gillingham Programs. I have taught kindergarten through college level students. Tutoring online is the best, because I get to alter the lessons based on individual need and speed. It is much more rewarding for the students and for me! Independently, I have studied Cognitive Research and listened to specialists discussing brain research, specifically how people learn. Therefore, I strive to incorporate these concepts into my classes, so students learn the least painless and most effective way to master material they need. The teacher we recommend

I'm writing this review as a happy parent of a happy Ms. Shelly's student. My son was studying English with Ms. Shelly's help for the whole academic school year. He was not just learning to write essays, but the art of writing. Very good themes were chosen for the writing. The poetry projects were terrific. Reading my son's first masterpiece poem made me feel so proud. I really appreciate the time Ms.Shelly spent reading complex texts & books, analyzing them, and building my son's comprehension and lexicon. My son also enjoyed the vocabulary and riddle games. We wish Ms. Shelly lots of new students who will enjoy her class and appreciate her hard work as we do.

Incredible Tutor

Shelly is a wonderful tutor! She is so warm and makes our 8 year-old daughter feel right at ease. She quickly identified our needs and put into a place a plan that worked wonders for our timid reader. I highly recommend Shelly as a reading tutor - I'm so thankful we found her.
