I am a recent graduate from Stanford University, and I have always had a passion for teaching.

I spent two years as a one-on-one math tutor through Stanford CTL (Center for Teaching and Learning) and two years as a (CA) course assistant in Linear Algebra and Multivariable Calculus, leading a section of 15-20 students from underrepresented backgrounds.

At Stanford, I also was heavily involved in Habla!, a student-run organization that offered free ESL classes for janitorial workers. I tutored twice a week and worked with visiting Palo Alto Adult School teachers to design curriculum geared towards practical needs of the students. In 2013, I also spent a summer teaching Critical Reading/Writing SAT prep for low-income high school students, who have gone on to raise their test scores and successfully enroll in college upon graduation.

I have taken numerous programming classes, and have helped many students with programming related questions. I also was a section leader for Code in Place 2020, a 6-week online introductory programming course taught to over 8000 students around the world led by Stanford University faculty.

I have over 20 years of piano experience. I have taught one-one-one lessons during high school. I'm very passionate about jazz piano and have worked with many friends in college to teach jazz improvisation on piano. Studied six months under Murray Low (Grammy-nominated latin jazz pianist).

I have spent the past 10 years teaching or tutoring in some capacity, and I want to continue helping others succeed. Feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions. Looking forward to working with you!

Computer

C,

C

I took CS 107, one of the hardest introductory CS courses at Stanford, which taught us systems level programming in C. This was however, one of my favorite courses. I wrote a heap allocator in C with a partner, which achieved about 80% throughput and 65% utilization compared to the standard library functions.
C++,

C++

Experienced tutoring C++ topics covered in undergraduate-level classes. Recently wrote low-level microcontroller driver for an avionics project in C++ at previous engineering job. Took several undergraduate classes during undergraduate program at Stanford University, that used the C++ language, including programming abstractions (CS 106B) and Probability for Computer Scientists (CS 109).
Python

Python

Have a strong background in Python. Did an audio encoding and machine learning project in this language. Ask to see my link to the audio encoding project paper, a Python-built audio encoder that compressed WAV audio files into 128kbps format.

Piano,

Piano

I have over 15 years of piano experience. I was classically trained and I switched to jazz 9 years ago. I taught piano lessons for a summer in high-school. In college, I started The Stanford Jazz Consortium, which advocates for jazz and student musicians. I have mentored many aspiring jazz players through that program.
Precalculus

Precalculus

I spent two years as a one-on-one math tutor for undergraduate students at Stanford University's Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) and two years as a graduate course assistant for Math 51 (Linear Algebra and Multivariable Calculus), leading a section of 15-20 students from underrepresented backgrounds. As an instructor, I frequently applied pre-calculus to assist students in understanding advanced concepts in mathematics and engineering.

Math

Electrical Engineering,

Electrical Engineering

I have a Bachelor's and Master's in this subject. During my two years as a math tutor, I also answered questions for students taking introductory electronics classes. I find for this subject, the best way to teach is beginning with simpler examples and asking conceptual questions leading the student to the answer.
Linear Algebra,

Linear Algebra

This is probably my favorite math subject to teach. I spent both years in my Master's program as a course assistant for Math 51, an introductory math course in linear algebra and multivariable calculus. During this time, I created handouts, held sections and office hours, and attended trainings, where I sought better techniques to teach the class, including the Socratic Method.
