I have spent time as an employee, contractor and consultant in just about every industry in the private sector and government. I have many years of experience as a Project Manager as well. I have been proofreading and editing for about 2 decades now. My business career required me to proofread and write many types of documents such as contracts, project plans, proposals, responses to bids, and many more. My profession has many certifications and exams that are required in order to receive the multiple certifications I have. I often mentor individuals studying for these exams. Additionally, not only do I work with general business issues, I work with IT and technical business solutions.

My certifications include: Certified Records Manager (CRM), Certified Document Imaging Architect (CDIA+), Certified Information Professional (CIP), Master of Information Technologies (MIT) and Laureate of Information Technologies (LIT).

It's been many years now, but I used to volunteer my time at our local elementary school helping children with reading problems and learning disabilities. I grew up with severe dyslexia, and I find that I can help younger children look at learning from a different perspective. Because our brains see and process information differently. I have ways to help students look at things differently. With dyslexia, it's a matter of figuring out what learning method makes most sense to each person, because we all learn differently. I enjoyed being able to help children with dyslexia comprehend things better and lessen the struggle of learning.

Not only did I major in Political Science, I specialized in Constitutional Law: this included the study of not only the constitution, but the famous and ground breaking cases that continue to apply to our laws and constitutional interpretation today. During my undergraduate courses I took graduate level courses in Constitutional Law and the Supreme Court in which we studied key cases and how the Justices arrived at their decisions and interpretations. My Master's Degree is from a Law School in which I experienced an even more advanced education in law and political science. I feel very comfortable tutoring students in this topic. I'm a little biased - it's one of my favorite subjects.
