Syracuse University (Broadcast Journalism)
I graduated from Syracuse University with a degree in broadcast journalism, International Relations, and Spanish. I have served as a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant in Bogota, Colombia, helping college students learn English. I have also lived in the Dominican Republic.
My experiences in these three areas have led me to want to help people:
1. Learn Spanish
2. Help Spanish speakers learn English (ESL)
3. Help people perfect their English speaking skills and writing
3. Teach latin dancing such as Salsa
4. Video Production
I also ran sprints and hurdles in high school and played basketball. I am proficient in those areas as well. I also have experience as a television reporter, so I am very knowledgeable about public speaking. I interview people daily and can pick up on bad grammar, incorrect English and other nuances of bad speaking.
If you need help in any of these areas, contact me. I graduated from Syracuse University with a degree in broadcast journalism, International Relations, and Spanish. I have served as a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have played basketball for over ten years. I played on middle school and high school teams as the point guard. I understand zone and man defense, along with how to shoot a layup and a jump shot. Free throws are my specialty and I also know how to sprint down the floor.
My tutoring technique would focus on free throws, running drills, defensive stance, layup, dribbling blind-folded, and shooting.
My professional career is a television reporter and anchor. I was a weekend anchor in Kirksville, MO. Currently, I am a television reporter in Shreveport, LA. I have a degree in Broadcast Journalism. I interview people on a daily basis and decide through a process of elimination who I will include in my stories. I have interviewed people as famous as the Rev. Jesse Jackson, and former Mayor Michael Bloomberg, all the way down to the average person walking the streets. I know what makes a good speaker and can identify problems in people's speech. I have to listen to people's speeches all the time and decide on what was most important. I would like to help people are who fear public speaking.

My teaching style is making them do the exercises I did when I ran. Weightlifting, running different lengths of the track under various time limits. Also mixing in 30 minutes run around town. Work on high knees and hurdle form.
