Well Worth the Investment!

Since starting tutoring lessons with Elizabeth, my daughter has really been able to excel in her college Spanish class after initially struggling to comprehend anything. She now has an "A" in that class but, probably more importantly, has gained the knowledge and confidence to understand that learning a foreign language is not an insurmountable task. I think what is particularly special about Elizabeth is that she is old enough to be very knowledgeable about the topic matter, but young enough to remember what it is like to be student. Sometimes learning a foreign language can be somewhat intimidating: you feel certain that you are probably butchering each word you say aloud, if you are even saying the right word at all, and not some other embarrassingly similar word that means something totally different. Unfortunately, to get better you have to practice and be willing to make those mistakes until you get it right. There is nothing intimidating about Elizabeth’s approach when tutoring. She makes my daughter feel at ease to try, and try again if necessary. She is not a pushover, but she also never makes you feel as if she is just waiting for you to make a mistake so she can jump on it. Hiring Elizabeth has been well worth the investment, and I would recommend her to others without hesitation.
