After an initial session, I will have supplementary material (such as practice exams) written up for you or your child in preparation for future sessions. These can be used to help someone overcome test anxiety, gain additional practice, and even serve as supplemental homework assignments.
In addition to math tutoring for middle school through college students, I also specialize in SAT/ACT test prep. I have a copious amount of test prep material handy to help get you or your child ready to take the SAT/ACT. Regardless of whether you need to take the GED, or you're getting ready for college, effective test prep can make a meaningful difference in your scores.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I grew up in a family where two immediate family members had Aspergers and I have become accustomed to finding effective ways to communicate with them. Furthermore, as a Psychology major, I have been exposed to people who suffer from Autism spectrum disorder and the special needs that they have. I have found that people with Aspergers tend to respond well to an analytical approach in education as well as an information-processing theory approach. In this sense, relating information to personal events in their lives or to a topic that they like tends to aid in retention of the information.
