About Camille

Hello, I am a college student who is studying French literature. I started learning French in fifth grade at my US elementary school. I have French textbooks, books, movies, television shows, and worksheets that I have used and know how to teach from. I've taught subjects of high-school level math, English, writing and French to youth. I lived in France during high school, and attended Lycée Jules Ferry. I am an American who has learned French through family, living abroad, and my education.

I have a French diploma of studies and the French language called "le diplôme d'études en langue française" (DELF) at the B2 level. A B2 user has a degree of independence that allows me to construct arguments to defend my opinion, explain my viewpoint and negotiate. At this level, I have a degree of fluency and spontaneity in regular interactions and am capable of correcting my own mistakes.

Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
