Hello my name is Mr. Eric. I am a special education teacher with 17 years of experience. I am highly qualified in math, science and social studies. My experience has given me the opportunity to work with many classified populations.
I have been very successful in my career because of my ability to identify the way each individual student thinks. This enables me to develop and implement lessons that are tailored to their learning style.
I have a genuine passion to help students who have challenges be successful academically and to foster their self-esteem.
I have been extremely successful in tutoring over the years because of my ability to build relationships with students. I am always thinking out of the box and modifying curriculum so students can be successful.

Aspergers is on the Autism spectrum. It is associated with difficulties in non-verbal behavior and social/emotional development. My background in ABA has given me the strategies and interventions that are predominantly used with this population and have been very effective. Four years ago I started the first Autistic program at Cumberland Regional HS and it has been extremely successful.
As mentioned in my previous statement my current assignment is within an Autism progam that I started and wrote the curriculum for. I have taken graduate courses in ABA which has been scientifically proven to be the most effective intervention for Autism.
Dyslexia is a disorder associated with difficulties in phonics and reading fluency. Students often have problems in associating letters and their sounds. I have employed strategies that focus on students developing these associations. A course that I had at the graduate level Verbal/Non-verbal communication specifically addressed this disorder.
