About David

I am an Assistant Professor with more than 10 years experience creating successful students. I excelled at all levels of academia, graduating with honors at the Bachelor's and the Master's levels (4.0 GPA). I also completed my Ph.D. in record time, while simultaneously working full time (insane, I know). But, because of that, I know what it takes to be successful. When you choose me you get that knowledge, experience and skill. I have observed and cataloged the challenges students have with understanding and learning. And I have devised a unique approach to bridging this gap. My approach makes learning easy for students. It improves concept retention and student comprehension.

While tutoring I also make use of multiple resources. The teaching strategy involves the use of electronic media. The computer and cellphone are key tools to assist students. Many tutors ignore these valuable resources. However, I incorporate them into the learning matrix to provide the student with a complete experience that is consistent with contemporary learning avenues. My approach is modern, fresh and successful.

The combination of multiple methods successfully reaches different minds. I take time to listen to the student and understand their personal challenges. My strategy is patient, individualized and shaped for the specific needs of the person being tutored. One size does not fit all. You need a personal approach that works well for you and understands how you learn.

It would be great working with you. Together we can make your learning experience pleasant and successful.

Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
