About Bryan

Bio

My name is Bryan, and I am a tutor specializing in English, though History, Business, Philosophy, and the Social Sciences are also areas of interest for me. I have a good deal of professional tutoring experience from my time at Ramapo, and have worked well both one and one and with groups in the past. My career aspirations are to become a professional fiction editor, hopefully with one of the Big 6 publishing houses in NYC.

I have always loved reading and writing, but that does not mean...

I have always loved reading and writing, but that does not mean you have to in order to work with me. All I ask is a willingness to try; where there is a will, there is a way, after all. I have mostly worked with high school or college age students in the past, but I can and will work with anyone who would like the help, including students in elementary school and adult learners. I have worked with ESL learners in the past, especially those from East Asia, Nepal, and Latin America.

I have a degree in Literature, Concentration in Creative Writing, and a minor in International Business from Ramapo College of New Jersey. While there, I was an English consultant at their Center for Reading and Writing for three years and a Supplemental Instructor for their EOF (Educational Opportunity Fund) Program for two summers. I have presented papers on Mark Twain, J.R.R. Tolkien, and an assortment of advanced literary topics at several international conferences.

Please, contact me with any questions about scheduling or the like. I look forward to helping any respondents.
