About Sally

I am an experienced and energetic practitioner with the knowledge, skills and understanding of a range of teaching, learning, assessment and behavior management strategies needed to make a positive impact on the progress of pupils. Possessing an open-minded and determined attitude I can motivate and inspire others to succeed. I am able to establish a supportive relationship with students ,parents with the aim of promoting and reinforcing a student's independence and self-esteem. I am always engaged in continuous learning in order to broaden my knowledge and experience. Currently, I am pursuing my master degree in chemistry education at Montclair State University with focus on organic and biochemistry. My background in teaching includes experience of teaching AP chemistry and AP biology for high school , organic chemistry , and biochemistry.
I started my career life as a pharmacist in the production department in a pharmaceutical company for 4 years. Then I decided to enter teaching career through teaching college students organic chemistry and biochemistry. I excel at teaching core subjects; biology and chemistry for high school students,it is noteworthy to mention that my academic background helped me a lot in advancing my career as a high school teacher. The foundation of my success lies in my passion for being at the heart of things.
As a highly motivated person I view operational problems as challenges that will lead to opportunities waiting to be discovered. In every school I worked at I not only bring new energy, fresh ideas and a different ways of critical thinking, I also help guide the school to achieving its full potential. My strategy as a tutor is to keep the student challenged, but not overwhelmed. I assign challenging homework after every lesson and provide periodic assessments and progress reports.I hold myself to a high standard and always maintain high expectations for my students. For that reason, I often ask for a feedback and I never bill for a lesson in which the student or parent is not satisfied with my tutoring. I try to be flexible with time. While I do have a 12-hour cancellation policy, I offer make-up classes.I look forward to hearing from you and helping you achieve success in your studies.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Organic Chemistry

I have my masters degree in chemistry education with a focus on organic chemistry. last year, I took the advanced graduate level course in organic chemistry at Montclair state university in which I studied functional groups, chiral groups, substitution and elimination reactions, stereochemistry , and spectroscopy. Additionally,I studied two organic Chemistry courses in college and I successfully earned a A degree in both courses. Organic Chemistry has always been my preference and I excel at teaching it to college students.

Pharmacology

I have a bachelor degree in pharmaceutical sciences. I have a strong based knowledge of organic chemistry. I studied functional groups, substitution and elimination reactions, stereochemistry, and spectroscopy. Organic chemistry was offered along with rigorous laboratories through which I practically performed many effective and efficient laboratories applying all the aforementioned topics.
After I graduated, I worked as a part time college instructor teaching organic and biochemistry for year1 and year 2 pharmacy college students.
I also worked as a production pharmacist in a pharmaceutical company located in Egypt. My job responsibilities were assuring adherence to GMP in all areas of production ,assuring compliance of production operations to written down procedure (SOP),performing correct filling of BMR, Area Control Records, Equipment and Machine records, and assisting the quality assurance to maintain the standards of the products.
Currently, I am pursuing my masters degree in chemistry education with a focus on organic chemistry and biochemistry.
