The College of New Jersey (Psychology)
My interest in teaching comes from a strong love of learning and enthusiasm for sharing knowledge about my areas of interest to others. I do not have a formal teaching background, but I have a rich educational history and experience with a variety of subjects at the college level. I have informally helped many of my friends and colleagues to better comprehend courses that I was either taking at the time or had previously taken. I have led both group and private one-on-one sessions on numerous occasions.
I specialize in helping others with the coursework most relevant to my college major and overall educational experience. I am a current psychology and pre-medicine major at The College of New Jersey with a cumulative GPA of 3.92 and a major GPA of 4.0. I am almost done with my undergraduate career, as I only need four more courses before I graduate. I have had a minimum of a B+ final grade in every college course I have taken to date. I can best aid teens and adults with the subject areas of psychology, biology, general chemistry, and algebraic or fundamental math. I am also proficient in helping with general essay writing, psychology research papers, and scientific papers.
Because I am a current college student, my schedule is relatively flexible and I have considerable weekday as well as weekend availability. Thus, as long as it is worked out in advance, we can meet at different times each week. I would prefer to meet the student in a public library or other equally quiet environment to prevent any impact of noise on concentration.
As I do not have extensive tutoring history, I would love to have any feedback as to how I can better help and improve the learning experience of the student! I look forward to hearing from you!

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
