Knowing that I had wanted to be a mathematics teacher since 8th grade, I made it utmost importance to strive for a strong mathematics education program at a local, well-respected university. Earning a bachelor's degrees in both mathematics and secondary education at Rider University, I was well prepared to take on the challenges and rewards of being a high school math at a local high school from 2001 to the present. I have taught the full gambit of mathematics classes over that course of time including but not limited to the following:

1) AP Calculus AB (6 years)
2) Honors Trigonometry / Precalculus (Current since 2013)
3) Algebra 2 (11 years)
4) Honors Geometry (Current since 2016)
5) Geometry (Current, since 2005)
6) Algebra 1 (Current, since 2001)

Knowledgeable and patient

Gary explained in detail what my grandson did wrong on his take-home assignment. He helped him to correct his wrong answers and understand the concept used in the question. Vincent feels he could handle future problems thanks to Gary. We will be using Gary for future assignments. ..................................................................................................................................................................................................................................

Cares about the student

We have used Gary a few times for last-minute tests in Pre-Calculus Honors. Gary always made himself available. He clearly reviewed and explained the material so that my child felt confident and prepared for the tests. Thank you, Gary!

Quickly effective and highly supportive

Gary was quickly effective in turning my daughter's understanding (and grades) around in Pre-calculus math. In addition to the basic transfer of knowledge, Gary takes the time to understand the way his students are taught, and reshape the lessons in a way that is understandable and intuitive. Good tutors can convey complex subject information; great tutors like Gary can develop their students to master the material and instill confidence. Highly recommend.
