I have been a teacher of French and Reading for 26 years in New Jersey. I am able to provide references upon request. I have proven results as the students whom I have tutored have moved on to higher levels of French with a great deal of success. As a teacher of Reading, my students have gone up a whole level in Reading as well as increase their comprehension skills. I spent a semester studying in France so I am a fluent speaker, reader and writer of the French language. I also worked as a Reading teacher for Sylvan Learning Center where I diagnosed reading deficiencies and helped establish a reading remediation program that was set up to meet the individual needs of each student. I am willing to travel and my rates are very reasonable. I am told that I am very personable and that one of my strongest assets is my ability to make strong connections to my students.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
