I have worked in law enforcement and the security industry as a trainer for close to 40 years, with experience in both administration and field work. I graduated from Kaplan University in 2010 with a BS in paralegal studies, and a recent graduate from the University of Phoenix with a master's degree in the administration of justice and security. My GPA from Phoenix at graduation was 3.78, as I was serious about doing well. I have written many papers which demonstrated my writing skills, and possess good communication skills which enables me to work effectively and efficiently with others.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I started my law enforcement career in 1979 with a small police department in New Castle Delaware, and remained there for about two years only as a helper. In 1981 I was hired by the University of Delaware as a security officer, and was promoted into the police division after about a year. I attended the Delaware State Police Academy from September 1983 to December 1983 while still with the U of D, Had an opportunity to return to the New Castle police department in 1988 as a patrolman, and eventually promoted to Corporal until I had another opportunity to work with the state courts as a court constable, then in 2000 I was able to obtain a position with Securitas security as a training manager where I remained until March 2012.
My first degree was from Delaware Technical and Community College, where I received an AA in Criminal Justice in 1981, and had not gone back to college until 2005, where I attended Kaplan University, and completed my BS in Paralegal Studies in 2010. My most recent degree is from the University of Phoenix, where I was able to complete my requirements for a MS in the Administration of Justice and Security, my goal is to return to the University of Phoenix in 2013 to obtain my Ph.D. in management and leadership.
