Hi, my name is Gregg and I have been an artist my entire life. Over the course of my 35+ years of professional experience, I have been an artist, an illustrator, an art director, a creative director, a muralist, a publisher, a graphic designer and a creator of things of great beauty. My work has appeared in print, on television, in video, online, on walls, floors and ceilings, on billboards and in many private collections. I am well versed at drawing, painting, inking, printing, designing, Adobe Suite, Quark, utilizing, pencils, pens, brushes, air brushes, fingers, toes and any other artistic implement available. I eat, sleep and dream creativity. It flows through my veins and effects my entire existence. Sharing my creator-given gift with the world is my greatest pleasure. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have been an artist my entire life, selling my first piece of art by the age of 12. After graduating from the Newark School of Fine and Industrial Art in 1976, I set out on a career in art/advertising/illustration. My drawings have appeared in print in both advertising and editorial mediums, in private collections and on wall murals. I am experienced in pencil, ink and pastel drawing. I am versatile at any subject matter from figurative to landscapes and seascapes. I can create a representation of any subject matter. I can teach anything from realism to abstract, from comic style to decorative. Whatever the student desires, I can provide instructions.
Oils, acrylics, watercolor, gouche, tempera, ink, expressed in realism, expressionism, impressionism, abstract or contemporary styles. I have been painting in early every media for over 35 years and hundreds of my pairings have appeared in print on book covers, in children's books, on murals, in advertisements, on billboards and in personal collections. My specialties include the human form, landscapes, seascapes, buildings, interiors, situations, still life and anything else I am asked to provide. regardless of subject matter, I approach each painting with an excitement and love for the craft.
