I have earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Central Florida in Orlando, as well as Master of Business Administration from University of Central Florida. In addition, I earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Business Organization and Management from Capella University in Minneapolis.

My teaching and academic experience includes having worked as an Assistant Professor of Business for ten years, focusing on student centered and active learning among all students. I also have experience as a Business Tutor for College students and earned the Joel A. Kohlberg most outstanding adjunct professor of the year in 2003. I foster a positive attitude, mastering the subject fundamentals in a relaxed environment, forward thinking, and passion for your academics.

I have corporate experience as a Registered Investment Representative at Morgan Stanley Dean Witter and HR Block. Volunteer experience includes preparing tax returns in the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program, after passing IRS administered tests. I taught generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), but discussed with students that we are transitioning to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). We analyzed and evaluated the 10K and 10Q report and the students presented their audit simulation on a fictionalized company with other professors present. Career wise, I discussed certifications such as the CPA, CMA, CFA, and CFP, with the students.

Also, we analyzed the differences between the sole proprietorship, partnership, c-corp., s-corp., and LLC. Students learned the line items on form 1040A and 1040EZ, and when and how to use schedule A, B, C, D. We also learned how Medicare part B is taken into consideration, and that there is currently a $3000 loss carry forward maximum per year against ordinary income. The students also learned about amendments and how to file for extensions.
