H Hart Instituut Belgium
Dear Parents and Students,
I am Inge, born and raised in Belgium. I moved to the United States in 1996. I have worked for a multinational company in NY city for several years as their main liaison between Paris and New York and did extensive translation and interpreting work for them. I have a degree in European languages: Dutch, French, English and German.
If you or your child need help with French, please do not wait until the grades come in or until you or your student come to a point where he/she truly dislikes the language! I would love to help and set up a successful strategy and tutoring classes as needed. My students are always surprised once they discover that learning a language can actually be fun!
I have extensive experience tutoring kids and adults in Dutch and French. I have also worked as a Dutch teacher in a local Dutch school, 't Klokhuis, in New Jersey. Furthermore I have worked as a tutor for Johnson Johnson, preparing their employees with regards to their relocation to Europe. I am also currently working as a French and Dutch translator.
My own kids are currently in middle school and taking French as a second language, so I am very familiar with the teacher's and school's requirements.
Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions you may have.
I look forward to hearing from you.
PS: I will be unavailable to teach from June 20th - August 3rd., 2012. Dear Parents and Students,

Inge is a lovely person and very efficient with her time. She prepares tests and reviews the text well.
She also did a good job with helping to guide a French paper.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I am a native Dutch speaker and have been a Dutch teacher for several years, both to native speakers and to foreigners.
I have studied in Belgium and took French classes starting at age 10. I took languages in high school and college. I have tutored my own children (ages 14 and 16 for their middle school and high school french and several other students in my area). All my students improved their grades considerably and they definitely started to enjoy the language a lot more. I feel that learning French grammar and vocabulary is important as a basis but getting a feel for the language itself is important too. I strongly believe that watching french movies, and getting to appreciate the French culture can also be part of the curriculum. I love the French language and I am definitely able to inspire someone and make them fall in love too.
