Seton Hall University (Biology- premed)
I am a pre-dental student in my final year of college. I have 6 years of tutoring experience and I have taught the following subjects: Math (algebra 1 and 2, geometry, trigonometry, calculus), Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and English. I also help students prepare for exams at school as well as standardized tests such as the SAT/ ACT. Math is definitely my strongest subject (and most favorite!) and I am able to explain concepts very clearly to students. I am very patient and I will make sure that students understand everything before moving on. I am currently a student in college, so I am aware of how difficult it is to keep up with boring topics/ fast lectures, so I always try to make lessons interactive and fun and I encourage students to try example problems alongside me (and that it's okay if they get it wrong- I am here to explain! It is better to make a mistake in front of your tutor than on a test :) ) Hi there!

Nilika has excellent tutoring skills. She makes you interested to learn more and is very patient. Her people skills are fabulous which is important in relating to each person she works with. I highly recommend her!
Nilika is a genius !! She went over everything included worksheets and gave me packets of problems and questions with rationales geared specifically for my nursing entrance exam.
It's only our first lesson with her and my son feels he understood a lot, she's really patient and knowledgeable. And we're definitely taking more lessons with her.
She is very patient in explaining the concepts of Algebra to my daughter and she explains it very well. Even I learned a few tricks during the session.
Hello, here is my review on Nilika, she was very knowledgeable, patient, and thorough, my daughter loved her...5 Stars*****
She was very patient and taught me several new tips that are very helpful and it was only the first lesson.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I was born in India and Hindi is my first language. I have been speaking Hindi my entire life (20 years) and I always speak Hindi at home. I taught my younger cousins how to speak the language.
Took the math 2 subject test in high school and scored a 740. I have also been tutoring mayh for 4 years (especially SAT math)
